A Crowd Connected Case Study

Preview of the Baku European Games Case Study

Baku European Games tracks stadium movement in real time with Crowd Connected, covering up to 10% via discovered devices

The Baku European Games Organising Committee, through their consultants Movement Strategies, faced the challenge of monitoring and understanding pedestrian movement during a stadium test event with only a small on-site team. They needed to harness technology to log visitor behavior both inside the venue and during journeys to and from the site. To meet this challenge, they employed Crowd Connected and its Colocator platform.

Crowd Connected implemented a solution using a bespoke multi-language app with the integrated Colocator SDK and a network of Bluetooth beacons for indoor positioning. This provided real-time analytics on journey times and security processing rates directly to the stadium's control room. The data gathered was a vital part of the analysis of stadium operations, offering valuable insight into the effectiveness of the transport network and customer communication, which helped optimize venue design and management.
