Washington County Arkansas needed a way to secure access for remote users and to know definitively who accessed what, and when. Before working with Crossmatch, the county relied on usernames and passwords for network and application access, which made audit logs harder to verify and created risk for remote laptops.

The fingerprint-based system gave employees quick access without passwords, improved audit trails, reduced account lockout calls, and helped prevent a phishing attack the county said could have cost taxpayers at least $17 million.
