Case Study: Hooters of America reduces fraud and swipe card costs with Crossmatch biometrics

A Crossmatch Case Study

Preview of the Hooters of America Case Study

Hooters of America - Customer Case Study

Hooters of America, LLC, based in Atlanta, Georgia, operates and franchises more than 450 casual dining restaurants in 28 countries. With nearly 4,000 employees conducting transactions and clocking in and out each day, the company was concerned about fraud and weak controls in its PIN and swipe card system. It turned to Crossmatch for a biometrics-based solution using U.are.U Fingerprint Readers.

After a trial at three Texas restaurants, Hooters rolled out the Crossmatch solution across its locations and eliminated its PIN and swipe card security system. Employees now authenticate with a fingerprint reader that ties each transaction to an individual, and the system integrates with ITWercs POS software. Hooters reported reduced transaction and payroll fraud, fewer unauthorized overrides, improved productivity and customer service, and eliminated swipe card replacement costs.
