Fazoli’s Restaurants - Customer Case Study

Fazoli’s Restaurants, the leading quick-service Italian restaurant chain in the U.S., needed a more secure way to control point-of-sale access across 119 company-owned and 93 franchised locations in 26 states. Its old PIN-based system allowed employees to share credentials, which made labor scheduling less accurate and increased shrinkage and unauthorized transactions.

Fazoli’s chose Crossmatch U.are.U Fingerprint Readers embedded in its POS terminals to replace shared PINs with fingerprint biometrics. The rollout was easy to use, with employees needing only five minutes of training, and the payback period was measured in weeks. Crossmatch helped Fazoli’s improve scheduling, tighten cash drawer and override controls, and 35% of franchise stores saw record sales within weeks of go-live.
