Crossmatch Builds Biometric Solution for Police Agency in Europe

European Police Agency worked with Crossmatch to replace traditional ink-and-paper fingerprinting with a fully electronic criminal booking process. The agency needed rapid identification in the field and at the police station, along with a system that could integrate with government databases and pre-populate biographic information for criminal records.

Crossmatch built a criminal enrollment and identification solution using L Scan palm scanners, Store and Forward for Electronic Fingerprint Transmission, and a custom Enrollment Centre platform. The kiosks are deployed in over 370 police stations and handle over 2,500 enrollments per day and 3.3 million fingerprint searches every month, while also supporting mobile Live ID checks and fingerprint card printing for court proceedings.
