International Committee of the Red Cross - Customer Case Study

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), a neutral humanitarian organization with 13,000 staff working in conflict zones, needed faster, more field‑relevant onboarding to bring staff to full proficiency and reflect the realities of its workplace. To meet this challenge the ICRC partnered with CrossKnowledge, adopting blended digital learning tools such as the CrossKnowledge Library and the Mohive digital publishing platform to redesign its onboarding approach.

CrossKnowledge helped the ICRC build a Staff Integration Programme combining online, face‑to‑face and work‑based learning, and supported creation of a Learning Solutions Unit to scale digital and classroom integration and embed a 70:20:10 learning model. The program delivered measurable scale and engagement—312 learning projects, 1,000 learning sessions and 5,653 active learners—enabling quicker, more consistent deployment of field staff with CrossKnowledge’s solutions.
