A CrossKnowledge Case Study

Preview of the DP World Case Study

Digital Learning to Optimize Port Operations and Reduce Risk

DP World, the world’s third leading port operator, faced rising complexity in terminal operations where administrative, customs and handling rules leave no room for error and create safety and financial risks. To strengthen preventive training for 800 employees directly involved in terminal operations, DP World — with development partner IQUAD — chose CrossKnowledge to extend its online learning into a tailored blended program called i-learn that fits the constraints of on‑site port work.

CrossKnowledge delivered a 10‑month blended solution combining online modules, face‑to‑face sessions, local learner support, mobile access, storytelling, practice/repetition and a points‑based certification system; average training time was about 62 hours per employee. The CrossKnowledge program reduced procedure non‑compliance and error rates, improved service quality and motivation, and produced measurable impact: $295K in cost reductions and $61K in cost prevention/revenue opportunities.
