Digital Learning for Sales Support at Clarins

Clarins, a global leader in cosmetics, faced a major sales‑support challenge: many retail staff who sell Clarins products are multi‑brand and not on Clarins’ payroll, making it hard to deliver consistent training across international markets. To address this, Clarins engaged CrossKnowledge to create a blended e‑learning platform (Clarins ePro) that would be accessible to non‑payroll staff and subsidiaries worldwide.

CrossKnowledge launched Clarins ePro in September 2011 as a pilot and rolled it out to roughly 4,000 users in Canada, Europe and Russia, with pilots and further deployment planned for Asia and other European markets. The CrossKnowledge solution — including portal resources, self‑enrollment for external staff, non‑mandatory modules, learner‑tracking tools and CrossKnowledge Academy training for local managers — improved trainer communication, enabled data‑driven module adjustments and delivered measurable results, including an 11% increase in revenue performance.
