Preview of the H&M Case Study

Digital Learning for Effective Onboarding at H&M

H&M, a global retail leader with brands like COS and & Other Stories, faced the challenge of consistently onboarding and developing employees across 59 countries while hiring about 12,000 people annually (6,500 in France alone with nearly 200 outlets). To standardize values, skills and career paths amid rapid expansion, H&M partnered with CrossKnowledge to create a digital learning solution for effective onboarding and employability.

CrossKnowledge delivered a blended, multi‑platform certification program with ~500‑hour training cycles, mandatory core content plus elective modules from the CrossKnowledge catalog, and diploma pathways in collaboration with partner schools for roles like Department Manager and Visual Merchandiser. The CrossKnowledge program rolled out 390 certification cycles in eight months, delivered 200,000 hours of training and achieved an 80% success rate, boosting recognition and skills development across H&M teams.
