Alstom - Customer Case Study

Alstom, a global leader in sustainable transportation, set out in January 2020 to have its entire workforce embrace a new corporate values program called AIR (Agile, Inclusive, Responsible). The challenge was to scale a values-driven learning initiative quickly—within about five months—and, after acquiring Bombardier Transports, to extend it across roughly 40,000 employees. To meet this need Alstom partnered with CrossKnowledge and used the CrossKnowledge learning platform (including the My Learning app) to deliver the program.

CrossKnowledge built a customized, user-friendly digital learning solution with personalized home pages, a blended “train journey” learning path, gamification (points and badges convertible into NGO donations), and governance support delivered in a two-month launch. The results were strong: in the first five-month run 26,000 learners logged 80,000 hours and €35,000 was donated, and in the second run about 73,000 learners completed over 1.5 million resources totaling more than 350,000 learning hours—demonstrating CrossKnowledge’s measurable impact on engagement and values adoption.
