A CrossKnowledge Case Study

Preview of the Royal DSM Case Study

A Look Into Dsm’s Learning Transformation

Royal DSM, the Dutch multinational, needed to align its learning and development with a new 2016 business strategy that demanded new leadership skills and a modern, coherent L&D approach (anytime/anywhere, peer and self-learning, blended and experiential formats). To meet this challenge, Royal DSM partnered with CrossKnowledge under a three-year agreement to design a tailored digital learning solution using CrossKnowledge’s Learning Suite, launched internally as the “Bright Learning” platform.

CrossKnowledge customized the Learning Suite into Bright Learning—adding Communities of Practice, blendedx learning journeys (Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading Leaders), the My Learning mobile app, TeamShift and Mohive—and trained DSM’s L&D team to embed the new approach. The platform now has 21,848 users, helped shift DSM from classroom-only training to self-directed blended learning, and enabled DSM to track ROI via connection rates and time-on-platform, with measurable increases in engagement and targeted usage across regions and employee groups.
