A CrossComm Case Study
The Duke Center for Addiction Science and Technology faced the challenge that over 40% of patients with HIV have a tobacco use disorder, with few digital interventions designed for this group's needs. CrossComm was engaged to provide mobile and healthcare services to adapt an existing app into a tailored digital therapeutic for this population.
CrossComm developed the Learn to Quit - HIV (LTQ-H) app, incorporating gamification, a dynamic notification system, and research-ready analytics to track user behavior. The solution resulted in a secure, cross-platform app that is now undergoing an NIH-funded pilot trial and is available to participants through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
