Duke Behavioral Health and Technology Lab advances mobile neurofeedback with CrossComm and a 5-second rolling average

CrossComm collaborated with Duke Behavioral Health and Technology Lab to refine a mobile neurofeedback app designed to help patients manage chronic pain. The challenge was to improve an existing app based on participant feedback, which required better audio delivery and an enhanced design to make it commercially viable for a broader research study.

The solution developed by CrossComm included a thorough hardware evaluation of EEG headsets and sophisticated audio engineering to create a more gradual and pleasing sound experience. The refined app is now undergoing feasibility testing at Duke, with the goal of securing further grant funding for future commercialization.
