Jeevika partnered with CropIn to help smallholder farmers in Bihar build climate resilience and improve profitability. The challenge was serious and included adverse climate change, low crop yields, and increased pest attacks affecting farming outcomes. CropIn’s SmartFarm advisory solution was used as part of the SLACC initiative to bring technology-driven support to farmers.

CropIn implemented climate-smart advisory, weather forecasts, crop activity scheduling, and mobile/web dashboards for local resource professionals. The solution helped deliver weather-based advisories in local language, monitor crop health, and improve package-of-practice adoption. Results included 1,200 plots digitized, 8,209 farmers impacted, a 90% adoption rate, 92% demonstrated climate-resilient agriculture practices, and 22 crop varieties supported.
