Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI) - Customer Case Study

Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI), a Tata Trusts philanthropic organization, launched Mission 2020: Lakhpati Kisan – Smart Villages to lift tribal households in Central India out of poverty. The program needed a way to profile farmers, track incomes and inputs, share best practices and alerts, and monitor field team activity. CInI partnered with CropIn and used CropIn’s SmartFarm platform to support these goals.

CropIn implemented SmartFarm to digitize farmer and plot data, send crop advisories, track field operations, and analyze yields for vegetables and other crops. The platform centralized field data for decision-making and helped CInI engage farmers more effectively; in its first year in Jharkhand, the project benefited 4,300+ farmers and digitized 3,400+ plots. CInI also plans to expand CropIn’s impact to 40,000 households in Jharkhand and extend tracking to livestock.
