2scale digitizes rice value chain with CropIn, profiling 452 farmers across 596 acres

Cropin assisted 2scale, an incubator program in Ivory Coast, which faced challenges in the rice value chain including a lack of farmer and farm data, supply chain inefficiencies, and poor planning across producer organizations. 2scale needed to digitize operations to create a traceable and efficiently managed supply chain for smallholder farmers.

Cropin addressed these challenges by digitizing farmer and farm data, completing geotagging and area audits of rice farms. This enabled remote monitoring and provided data-driven advisories on weather, pests, and diseases to farmers. The measurable impact included 452 farmers digitally profiled, 459 plots captured, and 73 tonnes of harvest received across 596 acres.
