Natural Resources Wales trains 50 people in user-focused writing with Crocstar

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) faced a challenge as its small digital team was overwhelmed by a large volume of content, making it difficult for users to find information online and straining their resources. They needed to create user-centered content for a woodland creation project and embed content design practices organization-wide. To address this, they enlisted the vendor Crocstar, along with partners dxw and Basis, for content design and strategy services.

Crocstar implemented a solution that included embedding within NRW to establish agile workflows and a new bilingual content creation method called "trio writing." They delivered user-focused content for the woodland creation project, trained 50 people in user-centered writing, and developed a content manual to embed best practices. The results included a refined content workflow, a stronger digital team that now champions content design, and the widespread adoption of their new trio writing technique across the Welsh public sector.
