A CriticalArc Case Study
Hutt Street Centre, a not-for-profit in Adelaide that supports almost 2,000 homeless people a year, faced the challenge of keeping case workers safe when meeting clients in the community. To give staff a discreet panic button and reduce vulnerability on lone‑worker visits, Hutt Street Centre partnered with CriticalArc to deploy the SafeZone app and wearable Bluetooth duress buttons.
CriticalArc’s SafeZone, integrated with Chubb’s 24/7 monitoring centres, lets workers trigger discreet alerts via smartphone or wearable, and use a Check‑in timer that warns five minutes before expiry and auto‑escalates if unattended. The solution has strengthened Hutt Street’s duty-of-care and work health and safety, boosted field staff confidence, and enabled faster, more efficient emergency responses—protecting all its case workers while they continue supporting nearly 2,000 clients annually.
