A CriticalArc Case Study
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust, a major provider of community and mental health services with over 6,000 staff, faced rising risk for clinicians working in the community, out-of-hours and unfamiliar locations. These frontline roles lacked consistent protection compared with in‑patient settings, driving higher sickness, absence, recruitment and retention pressures and creating duty-of-care concerns—so the Trust selected CriticalArc’s SafeZone technology to address those gaps.
CriticalArc deployed SafeZone (app and wearable alarm) with flexible 24/7 monitoring by Chubb, rapid roll‑out enrolling more than 2,000 staff in under two weeks, and an escalation protocol plus a user test button and command-and-control tools. The CriticalArc solution delivered location-aware alerts, team coordination and mass communications, boosting staff reassurance, reducing sickness and absence and agency costs, and strengthening the Trust’s duty-of-care and recruitment position.
