Leading Provider of Semiconductor Manufacturing Assembly and Test Services operates a high-volume back-end site in China with several buildings, multiple production floors and several thousand processing tools. Faced with the need to automatically capture equipment status and history and to visualize real-time status on actual fab layouts, the customer selected Critical Manufacturing’s Next Generation Manufacturing Execution System (cmNavigo) for its equipment tracking and Real Time Graphical Fab Monitor capabilities, with scalability, flexibility and advanced visualization/reporting key to the decision.

Critical Manufacturing implemented cmNavigo’s Equipment Tracking and Real Time Graphical Fab Monitor modules plus an equipment integration layer to collect state and alarm data (via SECS/GEM and other interfaces), model the customer’s multi-level state model, and draw/update real physical fab layouts in real time. The solution delivered accurate, real-time visibility and detailed historical metrics (Alarms, States, MTBF, MTTR, uptimes and Overall Equipment Efficiency), eliminated manual operator logging, supported high event volumes through a multicast bus and scalable tiers, and enabled trend analysis and equipment comparisons across the site.
