Multinational Employees Find a Home at the Nash Engineering Company

The Nash Engineering Company, a global manufacturer of large industrial pumps founded in 1905, needed a modern HR system to support its multinational workforce. Its legacy mainframe "green screen" system required custom programming, produced slow reports (taking days instead of minutes), and posed Y2K and scalability concerns; Nash also needed smooth interoperability with ADP payroll, the BAAN ERP roll‑out, and tracking for retirees, pensions and foreign employees.

Nash implemented PerfectSoftware’s hrSQL/hrWindows, gaining configurable user fields, direct factory support, and interfaces to BAAN, ADP, legacy systems and labor costing. The system cut benefit statement generation from three months to on‑demand, provides over 175 standard reports (EEO analysis, headcount, audit logs, benefits analysis), and improved employee tracking and reporting across global sites.
