Case Study: Wayzata Public Schools secures COPS grant to implement Student Threat Assessment with CrisisGo

A CrisisGo Case Study

Preview of the Wayzata Public Schools Case Study

Utilizing COPS Grant Funding for CrisisGo’s Student Threat Assessment

Wayzata Public Schools, a Minnesota district serving 12,000 students across 16 buildings, wanted to move beyond existing security measures to a formal student threat assessment process. Familiar with CrisisGo’s digital safety platform, the district pursued COPS grant funding specifically to adopt CrisisGo’s Student Threat Assessment system to meet grant requirements and institutionalize a systematic approach to threat evaluation.

After a detailed, solo grant application effort, Wayzata secured COPS funding and will implement CrisisGo’s Student Threat Assessment, beginning with familiarizing School Resource Officers this winter and rolling the system out district-wide. The CrisisGo solution embeds threat assessment into Wayzata’s ongoing safety program—bringing a measurable, district-level capability to serve 12,000 students across 16 buildings and strengthening coordinated, sustainable safety practices.
