Updating School Safety Communication and Response

Triad Community Unit #2 (Triad CUSD 2) faced gaps in its emergency preparedness: their district had a solid paper plan, regular drills and good relationships with local law enforcement, but the plan hadn’t been tested in a real emergency and previous texting/group messaging efforts failed. On a school resource officer’s recommendation, Triad selected CrisisGo’s digital safety and communication platform to digitize plans and improve mobile access and response.

CrisisGo was implemented to give staff digital access to safety plans, enable fast check-ins during drills or incidents, and unify communication across all district buildings. As a CrisisGo customer since 2018, Triad now practices using the app as part of drill management, ensuring administrators and staff routinely test and verify their communication systems — improving readiness and making safety communications more reliable district-wide.
