Safety iPass Integrates with SIS for Streamlined Safety

The Harrison Central School needed a way to manage pre-visit health certifications and building entry as it prepared to reopen. They partnered with CrisisGo to deploy Safety iPass, a QR-code–based system that integrates with their PowerSchool SIS to require daily health questionnaires and temperature checks for students, staff, and visitors.

CrisisGo’s Safety iPass provided QR-code entry (with printed codes for students without smartphones), real-time reports to principals and nurses, and expanded use to extracurricular sign-ins, serving 6 buildings and 2,250+ students (and 3,375+ parents). The district found the tool reliable and user-friendly, saying it sped up information sharing for contact tracing, made it easy to identify who hadn’t completed screenings, and improved the timeliness of notifications.
