A CrisisGo Case Study
Bemidji Area Schools, a small district in Bemidji, Minnesota, needed to modernize emergency communication and safety protocols after the 2005 Red Lake tragedy and while using resources from The "I Love U Guys" Foundation. With plans largely on paper, departments siloed, and reliance on two-way radios, the district turned to CrisisGo and its digital safety and crisis response platform to centralize plans and speed notifications.
CrisisGo implemented a mobile and desktop platform that provides one-button audible alerts, digital access to emergency plans and staffing rosters, and direct messaging to teachers, staff, and students. The CrisisGo solution — now integrated with The "I Love U Guys" Foundation resources — helped Bemidji Area Schools respond to incidents such as a head-on bus collision, a high school fight, and a bus rollover with air evacuation, replacing many phone calls with efficient mass notifications and faster, more coordinated responses.
