Improved School Safety Drills and Drill Reporting

Chilton Public Schools faced strict Wisconsin Department of Justice requirements for annual safety drills but were managing drill records with spreadsheets, paper attendance and phone/email communications. To modernize and simplify preparedness, Chilton—a CrisisGo customer since 2016—expanded use of CrisisGo’s digital safety tools, including the Checklist and Roster Event tools, to put safety plans and drill processes on staff mobile devices and computers.

Using CrisisGo’s Checklist and Roster Event tools, Chilton replaced pen-and-paper role calls, centralized communications during drills, and generated aggregated, user-friendly drill reports that can be submitted to the Department of Justice to meet state requirements. CrisisGo’s solution made drills easier for teachers, gave administrators clear statistics to track unaccounted students and attendance trends, and streamlined drill reporting and compliance.
