How CrisisGo Delivered During a School Emergency

St. James Catholic School in Millstadt, Illinois (2 schools, ~150 students) had no digital safety system and relied on checklists and phone calls to 911. Principal Cyndi Hasenstab introduced CrisisGo after hearing about the app from an instructor, requested a demo, secured funding, and implemented the CrisisGo safety platform in 2020 to improve emergency procedures.

St. James now uses the CrisisGo app for drills, alerts, rostering and check-ins. In 2021 the principal activated a lockdown/ALICE alert via CrisisGo during a reported armed-person incident; the alert went to command-post responders and multiple law‑enforcement agencies arrived within minutes, keeping the campus safe. CrisisGo also enabled routine rostering for attendance and training, and prompted interest from a neighboring public school impressed by the rapid, coordinated response.
