How CrisisGo Collaborated with Pasco County to Transform the Direct 911 Feature

Pasco County Schools, a Florida district of 99 schools serving 81,641 students, needed to meet Florida’s Alyssa’s Law and ensure 911 dispatchers received precise location and caller details during school emergencies. Since 2019 they had used CrisisGo’s safety platform and selected CrisisGo’s Direct 911 feature to integrate building addresses, verified GPS coordinates, and contact rosters into the 911 call workflow.

CrisisGo modified Direct 911 to auto-send an initial message to the 911 center—including school name, threat status, address, and the alerting contact—then sequentially dial listed school contacts, removing delays when contacts don’t answer. Rolled out district-wide, the CrisisGo update provides instant, accurate notifications to dispatch and first responders, real-time rostering visibility for 911 staff, and a reliable backup channel so the 911 center is promptly informed of active events.
