ITOCHU Europe Plc - Customer Case Study

ITOCHU Europe Plc, a City of London–based subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation with around 200 employees in Europe (now extended to the Middle East and Africa), needed a reliable way to get clear, concise instructions to staff and prompt quick responses during incidents and evacuations. To meet that need they adopted the Crises Control platform — using features such as Ping message acknowledgement, pre-defined communication plans and multi-channel notifications — because the team required guaranteed delivery and an intuitive system administrators and keyholders could use under pressure.

Crises Control implemented a cloud-hosted incident notification solution (email, SMS, telephone and push) with acknowledgment visibility, drill support and pre-built communication plans. The platform was used to warn and check on staff during the London Bridge and Munich attacks and to communicate instantly with about 150 on-site employees during six-month evacuation drills, speeding the return to business as usual. Crises Control’s easy onboarding and training meant the system is now embedded across the organisation and will be extended with SOS and GPS capabilities to further improve staff safety.
