A CrimsonLogic Case Study
The eGovernment Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain faced a challenge with its over 200 disparate eServices, which required citizens to manage numerous passwords and forced each government agency to maintain its own identity databases. To address this complexity and security concern, the authority turned to vendor CrimsonLogic for a solution.
CrimsonLogic implemented its eKey system, a nationwide authentication framework providing secure, single sign-on access to multiple government services using smart cards and biometrics. This solution from CrimsonLogic eliminated the need for multiple passwords, lowered service failure rates, and reduced operational costs for government agencies. Within a year of its launch, the system was successfully rolled out to 75% of all transactional eServices.
