The Ministry of Finance, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, faced significant challenges within its trading community, which was burdened by voluminous documentation, manual data entry errors, and cumbersome processes that consumed vast resources. To address this, they partnered with CrimsonLogic to implement the Saudi Electronic Data Interchange (SaudiEDI) system, an integrated suite of eTrade services.

CrimsonLogic built the SaudiEDI platform using a build-operate-transfer model, creating a single electronic window to automate trade documentation and facilitate seamless collaboration. The solution dramatically streamlined the trade cycle, with importers seeing a more than 50% reduction in cargo clearance times. CrimsonLogic's implementation also led to significant cost savings for government agencies, eradicated data entry errors, and enhanced the Kingdom's economic competitiveness, moving it up 17 places in the World Bank's ease of doing business ranking.
