Case Study: Garnock Community Campus boosts literacy confidence with Crick Software's Clicker

A Crick Software Case Study

Garnock Community Campus helps a 12-year-old produce a full side of A4 with Crick Software

Garnock Community Campus, a school serving students aged 2-18, needed a tool to support learners who find literacy challenging. Using Pupil Equity Funding, they sought a solution that could maximize impact and help close the attainment gap. After researching various products, they selected Clicker from Crick Software for its user-friendliness, training options, and ability to support a wide range of needs.

Crick Software's Clicker enabled targeted groups of students with dyslexia and other literacy challenges to overcome barriers to writing, successfully reintegrating them into mainstream classes. The software provided motivational support tools like word banks and Clicker Board, leading to impressive individual progress, such as a reluctant writer producing an extended piece of work. While wider data is still being gathered, the solution has already increased student confidence, reduced resource creation time for teachers, and received positive feedback from parents regarding homework. Crick Software also provided excellent training and support, and the campus plans to widen Clicker's use across the school.
