Apley Wood Primary School partnered with Crick Software to support pupils who struggle with writing, including children with dyslexia, poor spelling, and those who can generate ideas but find it hard to get them onto paper. The school was introduced to Clicker 7 and quickly saw its potential to provide personalized literacy support across subjects such as English, Social Studies, and Science.

Crick Software implemented Clicker 7 with a 40-computer license, along with staff training and differentiated resource creation. The school reports that students are producing more substantial work in Big Write sessions, confidence and attitudes toward writing have improved, and teachers are using features like Word Pool and Clicker Board to support spelling intervention, topic work, and assessment; the school is now extending to a full site license.
