Al Bateen Academy, part of Aldar Academies in Abu Dhabi, needed a better way to support secondary students with writing, exam access arrangements, and English language learning. Head of Inclusion Rachel Hinds, already familiar with Crick Software’s Clicker 7 from a previous role, wanted a more advanced tool for older students and a practical way to address the growing need for readers and scribes.

Crick Software provided DocsPlus, including Exam Mode, Predictor, Wordbars, and Voice Note tools, giving students more independence and confidence in class and during exams. The school reported major time and resource savings, estimating that DocsPlus avoided about AED 29,000 ($8,000) in reader and scribe costs in one year, while also helping students write more, with better quality and less embarrassment or stress.
