FINRA Levels Up their Data Game without a Steep Learning Curve

FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Agency, needed a better way to manage and route the 4TB of data flowing into its analytics environment each day, including security, network, application, and metric data. The team was also facing archiving requirements that required sending data to multiple destinations in different formats. To address this, FINRA evaluated and adopted Cribl LogStream from vendor Cribl.

With Cribl LogStream, FINRA quickly set up data routing to the right destinations and formats in hours instead of weeks or months, while also enriching AWS VPC Flow logs with dynamic IP ownership lookups. This eliminated the need to manually maintain ENI mappings and avoided the cost and complexity of running multiple tens of servers and compute processes, while also helping FINRA expand analytics access across the organization.
