A Cresa Case Study
VernDale Products, an industrial manufacturer in Detroit, engaged Cresa to establish a second facility and to identify all available sites with food-related infrastructure in the city. Cresa was retained for consulting, location strategy and economic incentives, plus project and transaction management to meet VernDale’s expansion needs.
Cresa Detroit identified and negotiated multiple incentive opportunities (tax abatements, grant funds, workforce development and added tax solutions), helped select a long-vacant 82,000 sq. ft. building, and provided program management for the roughly $20 million retrofit — including budget development, constructability and estimate reviews, change order management, and schedule monitoring — enabling VernDale to expand operations and realize the project within the planned scope.
