The School of Visual Arts engaged Cresa to manage and optimize a complex real estate portfolio of more than one million square feet across New York City. Facing tight academic timelines and seasonal construction windows, SVA needed project management and real estate advisory support to deliver student housing, campus improvements and leasing solutions while controlling costs and schedules.

Cresa provided project management and leasing services that supported the development of two ground-up dormitories (101 East 10th Street and 101 Ludlow Street), the Fine Arts Building project, and a program to lease excess space to non-SVA tenants. The work enabled housing for over 400 students, improved campus facilities and delivered measurable results — including approximately 25% savings — while accommodating the school’s constrained three-month window for planned improvements.
