Koniku - Customer Case Study

Koniku, a San Francisco–based biotech startup, was rapidly outgrowing its under‑equipped 3,000–4,000 sq. ft. lab and needed a customized facility of roughly 15,000 sq. ft. After an unsuccessful independent search, Koniku engaged Cresa for Location Strategy & Economic Incentives, Transaction Management, and Project Management to identify and secure suitable lab space that met tight timeline and build‑out requirements.

Cresa located a 15,025 sq. ft. lab in San Francisco that could be built out to Koniku’s specifications and, to address timing constraints, arranged a short‑term interim space in the same building while the permanent space was completed. By managing the transaction and project delivery, Cresa resolved the build‑out and timing challenges and enabled Koniku’s expansion with minimal disruption.
