Hilman Group Canada, a long‑standing Canadian company operating from the United States, had grown through acquisitions and was left with seven Greater Toronto Area locations serving about 500 employees. Cresa was engaged to provide Transaction Management and recommended an eight‑month supply‑chain study to evaluate the network; the analysis concluded consolidation into two facilities (one distribution, one production) would best meet Hilman Group Canada’s objectives.

Cresa implemented the plan by aligning the timing of seven leases, merging manufacturing into an existing site and securing a new 385,000 sq. ft. facility for distribution and head office, consolidating seven locations into two. Cresa also negotiated a design‑build with expansion capability and millions in tenant‑specific upgrades, coordinated office design with SDI for GTA and Edmonton (targeting Oct 2018), and delivered measurable cost and operational benefits — work that led to a follow‑on opportunity to relocate Hilman’s Edmonton facility.
