Foster & Black, a premium specialty coffee retailer based in Brisbane, engaged Cresa for strategic property advice to grow its network across South East Queensland and beyond. The challenge was to source premium, high‑traffic shopping centre sites that complemented food and beverage neighbours, secure long‑term leases to maximise landlord incentives, and create a sustainable site‑by‑site growth strategy.

Cresa, led by Kyle Swain, provided location strategy and economic incentives, transaction management, lease administration and consulting to target super‑regional centres and negotiate favourable long‑term deals. As a result, Foster & Black grew from one to five outlets in 2018, gained exposure to over 80 million potential customers from the first four stores, and became a finalist in the National Retail Awards 2018 for Small Retailer of the Year — measurable outcomes driven by Cresa’s property strategy and execution.
