A Cresa Case Study
DaVita, a leading healthcare provider headquartered in Denver, needed to relocate and expand its world headquarters to create a build-to-suit corporate campus that preserved company culture and supported growth. Cresa was engaged to provide transaction management and location strategy & economic incentives to guide the relocation and long-term campus planning.
Cresa (team led by Paul Herzog) managed the 2009 headquarters move and the 2018 expansion into 16 Chestnut, relocating 1,200 employees into floors 8–19 (about 80% of the 430,000‑SF building) and delivering tailored features like a 12th‑floor green‑roof event terrace, private entrance and dedicated elevator bank. The work resulted in a consolidated headquarters footprint (listed at 257,000 sq. ft.), gave DaVita control over design and operations, and positioned the company as the second-largest office tenant in downtown Denver—measurable outcomes credited to Cresa’s strategy and transaction management.
