Case Study: United Access achieves $125,000 in lease savings with Cresa's national real estate strategy

A Cresa Case Study

Preview of the United Access Case Study

Cresa has been chosen by United Access, a supplier of wheelchair-accessible vehicles and equipment, to manage its national real estate portfolio

United Access, a nationwide supplier of wheelchair‑accessible vehicles and equipment, engaged Cresa to manage its national real estate portfolio. With three Colorado locations along the front range (Wheat Ridge, Highlands Ranch and Colorado Springs), United Access faced lease expirations at Wheat Ridge and Colorado Springs at the end of 2018 and the prospect of large rent increases. Cresa was retained to provide Global Portfolio Solutions, Lease Administration, Location Strategy & Economic Incentives, and Transaction Management.

Cresa worked concurrently with existing landlords and evaluated market alternatives to negotiate five‑year lease extensions, tenant improvement packages and discounts to original landlord proposals and market comparables. The effort delivered measurable savings — Denver $85,000, Colorado Springs $40,000, total $125,000 — and Cresa continues to manage United Access’s nationwide transactions (including seven 2018 renewals) and administer leases through Cresa Lease Administration (CLA) with cloud‑based documents and monthly critical‑date updates.
