Colony NorthStar, a growing real estate private equity firm preparing to go public in 2015, needed to consolidate operations that were split between Santa Monica and El Segundo into a single, more open and collaborative headquarters. They engaged Cresa for transaction management (Tranzakciókezelés) and real estate advisory to identify the best location and space strategy.
Cresa evaluated the greater Southern California market, recommended Downtown Los Angeles, and guided the design-and-build of a modern, transparent workplace: 54,000 sq. ft. across two high-rise floors with few private offices and abundant public areas. The move consolidated operations, fostered collaboration and idea-sharing, and generated strong enthusiasm among younger employees eager to live and work downtown—all outcomes achieved through Cresa’s advisory and project execution.
