A Cresa Case Study

Preview of the LPL Financial Case Study

Changing Perceptions via a new HQ

LPL Financial, the nation’s largest broker-dealer, faced fragmented Carolina operations spread across five Class B properties in Charlotte that hurt productivity, culture and employee morale. Cresa led the effort—providing Location Strategy & Economic Incentives, Transaction Management and Project Management—to deliver a new headquarters aligned with LPL’s mission to create a landmark, sustainable workplace that promotes success and creativity.

Cresa helped consolidate LPL into a 451,598 sq. ft. Charlotte HQ, delivering the highest employee-satisfaction scores in the portfolio and the lowest cost per seat, while winning the Carolinas CoreNet Chapter top office project award and the Charlotte Business Journal project of the year. Cresa also secured significant state economic incentives, enabled purchase of additional land for 150,000 sq. ft. of future expansion, and supported sustainability measures including a cistern to achieve net-zero water usage.
