Akamai Technologies engaged Cresa to serve as its global commercial real estate advisor, seeking a highly responsive partner to provide fresh perspective and hands-on advisory across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia/Pacific. Akamai needed transaction management, project management and consulting services to actively manage a complex, 1,500,000 sq. ft. portfolio and improve reporting and oversight across its international locations.
Cresa acted as an extension of Akamai’s internal real estate team, actively managing more than 60 locations worldwide, building web-based dashboards to streamline portfolio management and reporting, and delivering major transactions such as a 476,000 sq. ft. new HQ in Cambridge, a 250,000 sq. ft. consolidation in Bangalore, and multiple relocations and expansions in Tel Aviv, San Jose (Costa Rica) and Tokyo. As a result, Cresa provided best-in-class, measurable support that enabled faster decision-making and polished execution across Akamai’s global footprint.
