The City of Brooklyn faced a challenge with the pedestrian entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge, which was unwelcoming due to low lighting and a lack of directional signage. This prevented visitors from noticing the area's beautiful architecture and shops. To address this, the city worked with Cree Lighting.

Cree Lighting implemented a solution using its Cree Edge™ canopy luminaires as part of a permanent light art installation. The project resulted in brighter, more uniform light that enhanced notable architecture, increased safety and visibility, and reinforced the borough's identity for visitors.
