Raley's, a California-based provider of fresh markets and petroleum stations, sought to reduce energy consumption and address maintenance issues caused by their existing fluorescent, metal halide, and halogen lighting systems. For a new location in South Lake Tahoe, they worked with vendor Cree Lighting to find an efficient LED lighting solution.

Cree Lighting provided interior and exterior LED luminaires equipped with an integrated wireless dimming system. This solution allowed Raley's to achieve an energy efficient lighting system that met California's daylight control requirements. The implementation resulted in a significant financial benefit, with the project achieving a payback of less than one year on the installation.
