Case Study: Pilot Flying J achieves energy savings and brighter lighting with Cree Lighting

Pilot Flying J installs Cree Lighting at nearly 300 stores

The customer, Pilot Flying J, is the largest operator of travel centers in North America. Their challenge was to reduce energy costs while achieving more consistent, brighter, and better-dispersed lighting across their numerous store interiors and exteriors. They partnered with vendor Cree Lighting to address this with an LED lighting solution.

Cree Lighting implemented a retrofit of both interior and exterior LED lighting across the Pilot Flying J locations. The solution was so successful that the customer has installed the lighting at nearly 300 stores to-date. As a result of this partnership with Cree Lighting, Pilot Flying J plans to continue the rollout to dozens of new stores annually over the next five years.
