Columbus Regional Airport Authority cuts light costs by 60% with Cree Lighting

The Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) sought a high-performance, low-maintenance 24/7 lighting solution for its curb-front beautification project at Port Columbus International Airport. To meet this challenge and support its energy reduction goals, CRAA selected LED luminaires from Cree Lighting.

Cree Lighting implemented a retrofit, replacing nearly 350 metal halide fixtures with its 304 Series LED luminaires. This solution from Cree reduced energy consumption by nearly 60 percent compared to the previous system, allowing the airport to exceed its near-term energy reduction targets and move closer to its long-term goal.
