City of Sandy, Oregon upgrades approximately 1,000 street lights with Cree Lighting

The City of Sandy, Oregon sought to convert its approximately 1,000 outdated high-pressure sodium street lights to improve efficiency, support sustainability initiatives, provide taxpayer savings, and comply with a dark-sky ordinance. To address this challenge, the city selected Cree Lighting's RSW Series LED Street Lights for the project.

The solution from Cree Lighting involved replacing the old fixtures with new LED luminaires. This conversion was part of a larger strategic move where the City of Sandy changed its utility agreement to gain full ownership and control over the street lights.
